Hardly ever watch Cable news...but this guy was one of my favorites. Always one that embelished independent thinking, he has negotiated an end to his contract. Today is his last day.

I wish him well. He will do well in speaking as a non partisan problem solver....as oppose to the partisan hacks that permeates the traditional air ways.

I would like to see him as an independenat nationallt syndicated radio host...where he could let it all loose.

Wow this just goes to show you how crappy things are going in our country right now. The man stands up against illegal immigration and all of the sudden he is racist. His family is getting shot at and now he is leaving his post at CNN. It's a shame.

Yeah, a few weeks ago I guess someone shot at his house. His wife was standing out by their car.

CNN needs to shake things up. IMO they should try to capture the audience that can't stomach Fox or MSN. They should start a new slogan "The face of Moderation!"

I think that's what they're going for but they're doing a terrible job of packaging and selling it.

Yeah the speculation is that he has a deal in the making with Fox Business. CNN just can't find a niche now. To be successful on cable you have to have some sort of style. The whole moderation thing isn't going to work for them because people that want that, just go to the Internet.

I don't have cable, so this will not affect me in any way. Although, I wouldn't be surprised if Dobbs ends up at Fox.

It'll never happen because CNN is a slightly toned down version of MSNBC. Laugh all you want but Fox News is about as close to the face of moderation that you'll likely find once you learn to separate the news part of Fox from the commentary pieces.

You know I think this is true. I used to be one of those people who thought it was all Glenn Beck and Bill O'Reilly.
One day I put it on in the late morning/early afternoon and it was just straight news from all over the world. I actually liked it.
The commentary stuff doesn't happen till the evening.

Never happen. Lou Dobbs politics do not allign with Fox News at all. He dumped the GOP party for the same reasons I did.

He cannot stand corporatacracies bribing government and destroying the middle class.

He would fit in at Fox like a 3 headed step child.

Dobbs perceived racism towrds Latinos is an absolute joke. Being anto illegal immigrants has everything to due with negative economics resulting from this...and nothing to do with racism.

People that turn a blind eye to the illegal alien situation is not a partisan issue either.

Both Dems and Goppers are equally to blame...they just have different agendas for turning a blind eye.

And for the record, Dobbs is happily married and has 4 kids.....his wife is Mexican American.

Foot, Lou has a radio show every workday.

www.loudobbs.com

For more info and a listing of stations.

I like Lou for calling it as he sees it and not being afraid to bash both parties when they are dumb. He dumped the GOP like I did. I do wonder if he could end up at Fox. Fox does have Judge Napolitano, who is one of my favorite Constitutionalists.

As for CNN, I won't be watching them any more.

Wow: Here I am agreeing with Footwedge on the following points:

1. Dobbs will never wind up at Fox.

2. It is entirely believeable that some pro-open borders d-bag did shoot at the Dobbs residence with the intention of killing or seriously injuring Dobbs or a family member. There are some really bad people out there in this country that are willing to express themselves through violence, and that is true both of those who see naturalization of illegals as the final step to making the Democrats a permanent majority party and those RINO's who either benefit personally from illegal immigration or are bankrolled by people who do.
