...I've driven by Arlin many times and it's a classic. Good for the people of Mansfield!

Great news. possibly one of the best High School football sites in Ohio now that Turf is installed. Can't wait!

I always liked playing at Arlin, the seats are so close to the field. It really is a sweet stadium, this is only gonna make it better.

We played there once in 1995 and I was impressed with the stadium, despite the fact that they tried to copy our fire-breathing horse.

Agreed. It was already an awesome stadium, but having turf makes it that much better, and the ability to host later playoff games, too.

If they are installing turf...they better get started. Nothing has begun as of this week. Season comes around quickly!

Saw on that other forum that the field turf installation will begin tomorrow and done by Aug 6. Wish someone had pictures of a computer rendering.

Drove past there today. This is the first I've heard of the turf! As a MSHS alum, i'm pumped. Arlin Field is a great place to watch a game, and the new turf only makes the whole area better. They're also moving portions of the sandstone wall from John Simpson middle school to AF. The new wall, dubbed "Castle Wall" after long time principal Doug Castle, is located behind the goal posts.

There appears to be a gravel layer down right now, but it looks fantastic. Go Tygers!

Yeah I drove by on July 17th and the gravel layer looked like it was done....just a matter of installing.

Should be a great improvement.

I drive by the field every day from work. Everything is laid out and getting lined and painted as of Friday I do believe.
