Do you realize how dumb you look?

My beef with Ohio State fans here is that they make huge generalizations are so factually incorrect it's laughable.
In the last twenty years Notre Dame has hired three men who were bad head coaches. As a result the program largely sank into mediocrity, with the low point being in 2004. Notre Dame was on track for a complete implosion and had to act quickly to avoid it. When Weis arrived there were
seven scholarship lineman and a program falling apart under a lazy coach, Willingham. Weis brought in a ton of talent, but his staff couldn't develop for shit (as evidenced by the tremendous 2007 class yielding two draft picks).
What do you consider embarrassing? In the last twenty seasons, Notre Dame has had four losing seasons. Contrary to what many believe, they actually won five bowl games in that time (while losing nine in a row). They even ended the season ranked half of the time. I mean, that's not embarrassing by a long shot. Good? No. Bad? No. I simply consider it the worst period of Notre Dame football in its long and illustrious history, and yet really only
mediocre when you sit and look at the numbers. Plus, Notre Dame is still near the top of schools in terms of number of players in currently in the NFL, even after their worst period of football in school history--not quite registering near embarrassing. It's not like USC, Alabama, Texas, Oklahoma, Michigan, etc. haven't had an off decade, it happens when coaching turnovers occur. Ohio State will have their time in the mud, whether it's because of a bad coaching hire or because of NCAA sends them spinning. It just happens. The elite programs with the wherewithal and the desire
always come back.
I hate sleeper's comments about Notre Dame because so much of what he says is incorrect. In fact, almost everything. If you're going to get into an argument, and least try to remain unbiased and use correct facts, it makes all the difference. I have corrected him vehemently in the past and I will continue to do so.
And all of this because I wondered why more of the major players in the region didn't go after a kid who is obviously very good. And some say Notre Dame fans are thin-skinned. if a kid is offered by Ohio State, he's a great football player. If you don't already know that, I don't know what else to say.
