No doubt with Crosby their pp % wouldnt be this terrible. 1 for 30 is impressive. Whats been the biggest issue? I didnt catch much of the game tonight except for the pens first goal.

When Pittsburgh last won it all, didn't they have issues with the power play....midseason maybe? Did they change anything up? Obviously a change has to be made....this is inexcusable.

Yep. One thing is for certain....the PP can't be any worse in Game 7 than it's been all series.

Well, Pittsburgh does look better on even strength. They just suck ass on the PP and PK.
I want to see Tangradi and Engelland in game 7.

4-2 Final. Pens had their chances, plenty of them. Lapses on the D end didn't help either.
Gotta say, I like Tampa in game 7. Home ice is irrelevant now a days and I think Tampa can get it done.

They had a true PP QB (Gonchar), a net front presence (Guerin), Shots on each side of the boards (Letang and Malkin) and they scored on the PP when it mattered. It wasn't a great PP, but it was effective.

Unfortunately for the Pens, it can be just as bad.

Yeah obviously the line up was different then, but the time of the drought...did Bylsma make moves or they just work it out? I miss the Sarge and Billy G!

I don't remember.
You also have to consider that you had Geno in God mode all year and made the PP go.
The PP was actually pretty decent under MT when he was coach.
What hurts this PP is not missing Sid/Geno but even when they were healthy, there's never any movement. For a PP to be effective you need movement.
Also, Letang has a terrible shot in which I don't think he'd hit water if he fell out of a boat it's that bad.

Lines I would use:
Lines I would use:
Neal-Staal-Kennedy
Kunitz-Letestu-Tangradi
Dupuis-Talbot-Asham
Rupp-Adams-Connor
Orpik-Letang
Martin-Michalek
Niskanen-Engelland
Sit Kovy because he is useless and Lovejoy b/c he's getting beat constantly.

All I'm going to say is that it's disgusting how utterly inept their power play is. How the fuck do you expect to win a playoff series when you are absolutely incapable of scoring on the occasions you have an advantage? Most of the time, you'd be hard-pressed to even say they were one up because they had so much trouble getting remotely good shots off. And that penalty shot was disgustingly pathetic.

That was a terrible loss! Granted, Roloson made a couple of key saves in the third period but man, how many chances can you miss?
This fucking PP has to wake up, Christ they can't even set it up in the zone most of the time and there's zero movement!
I agree with crosby show, bring in Tangradi for game seven!

Whenever he's facing the top 2 lines, he's getting beat to the outside along with the fact he's not that physical and never throws a hit. When you bring in Engelland, he might not be that mobile but, he will hit you constantly and has good position.
It's just that, the D is not being physical at all, hell only Orpik and the 4th line are.

No one is being balls to the wall physical, the intensity has not been like that since game one.The_Crosby_Show;750199 wrote:Whenever he's facing the top 2 lines, he's getting beat to the outside along with the fact he's not that physical and never throws a hit. LOL..............There's one way to get the PP going, #66 needs to come back and play exclusively on the PP:
