I was born on the same day as the Woodstock of physics: The marathon session of the American Physical Society’s meeting features 51 presentations concerning the science of high-temperature superconductors. Woot.

I am 9 days younger than Lil Bow Wow and Woody Hayes died 7 days prior to my birth. Others deaths in this year include Jackie Gleason and Henry Ford II.

The Tribe was just starting a remarkable season when I was born. They'd go on to have the best record in all of baseball -- but choked away the World Series to the Giants and some guy named Mays. Ohio State also won a national title later that year, the first for a relatively new coach named Woody.
