Bad day to be an Ohio State fan. First Turner, now Oden. It's a good thing Oden has a fat contract and is set for life, and Turner attends one of the premier academic institutions in the country so he'll get a a great job right after graduation.
I mean, Craig Krenzel's Molecular Genetics degree got him a job as an AM radio DJ... lord knows that's got him set for life
He probably makes $$ and that's all Ohio State is about. Getting their students the proper tools to be successful so they can take it to the bank and deposit it for other Ohio State students to manage.
There's a reason they call it O$U because its all about getting cash money and money bags of cash, and you can take that to the bank.

I'm not shocked he got hurt. He isn't going to span out to be a good player.

I wish he could have stayed healthy, he was just finding his way. I hate to see injuries derail a promising career.

I think he is offically now a "bust". I don't care if it's due to injuries or what, if you are the #1 pick and can't stay on the court to produce, you are a bust.
Hopefully he can come back from this, but I don't expect much from him at this point. I still think he'll be a journeyman in the NBA because of his size, but he'll never be that force many predicted.

while i love being right, i hate that he gets another injury. i labeled oden a bust before this injury, this nows assures it. what is durant doing? 28, 7, 3 while playing in every game. i'll bet we find out that he has that disease that makes your bones grow brittle even though you are younger in age. i cant think of the name of it. where are all the posters that were taking shots at ccrunner and myself for labeling oden a bust. i think ill go find that link. lol
It's not just Durant, although that's who the Blazers would have taken if they passed on Oden. The 2007 draft was pretty solid with guys like: Al Horford, Conley, Jeff Green, Corey Brewer, Jianlian, Joakim Noah, Thaddeus Young, Rodney Stuckey and Rudy Fernandez.
All of those guys, and many others, have outperformed Oden at this point.
