The top has to do it this inning. It'd be nice to see Votto come up this inning with 2 on.

Once again the Reds cannot overcome early runs given up by a starting pitcher!

And the Reds go down without a whimper. I never dreamed we lose 2 series to the D-Backs this year. Or we'd be dominated by Ian freakin Kennedy twice. Or we'd be back at .500 this quickly after the 5-0 start.

But still in a 3 way tie at 9-9 in the Meaty-okra division.

The Reds are playing about as bad as they have in a long time. Not a good pitching match-up today either. Leake at GABP during the day against Daniel Hudson.

Has a team played an easier schedule so far this year than the Reds? I dont even think theyve played a team with a winning record have they? Pretty upsetting start to the season especially after that 5-0 start.

In all fairness, outside of Philadelphia and Colorado, pretty much everyone in the NL is mediocre. San Diego is 8-10, Atlanta is 8-11, Milwaukee and St. Louis are 9-9 and even the defending champion Giants are 10-8. If you played all of those teams instead of the Pirates, Diamondbacks and Astros your SOS would be the same...

Heard a stat the other day, that 40 of the Reds' first 44 games are (as of a few days ago when I heard the stat) against teams with losing records.

lol

So why does Hermida get a start over Heisey? Heisey hasn't done anything besides knocking in 10 runs and doing good things when he is in the lineup. He definitely needs more PT.

I don't think it made sense to anyone. At least Heisey is leading off today.
