Saw a strength of schedule listing from the schedule (I think in the Dispatch) -- and Cleveland's SOS was higher than anyone else's in the division. How does that happen, regardless of the formula you're using to determine it?

Touching on a topic from earlier in the thread, sounds like the Winter Classic may be in Philly on Jan 2.

It's very possible considering they have 4 games against the Ravens/Steelers and 2 games against the Bengals, compared to each of the Ravens/Steelers having 4 games against the Browns/Bengals and just 2 against each other. The difference between each teams two non-set opponents is not enough to where it outweighs the Browns in-division opponents. Hopefully that makes sense.
Basically it's because the Ravens/Steelers were 2 of the best teams last year and they comprise 25% of Clevelands schedule.
For the two uncommon opponents though, obviously Pittsburgh has it hardest then Baltimore and so on.

Yep, since the NFL went to a schedule that goes into January, it's customary (everyone just forgets because it only happens once every 6 years) for the Jan. 1 bowl games to all move to Jan. 2 when Jan. 1 falls on Sunday.Midstate01;746142 wrote:even the rose bowl????
If you go back and check game dates, you'll see 1 in about every 6 Rose Bowls (in recent years) was played after Jan. 1. Sometimes it coincided with a Nat'l Title game too, so it went unnoticed.
