I have a college buddy that has qualified I think twice for the WSOP and a few caribbean tourneys. (I butchered that word I'm sure but I'm lazy.)

I have 3 college friends who currently live in either NY or Boston solely making their living off on-line poker. Hopefully they didn't have too much on there.

Saw a tweet from poker stars saying all money is safe. I would assume it's the same for full tilt and absolute as well. We will be able to access it eventually.

Hopefully that is the case. Often I have seen quite a few of my friends that play poker build up big bankrolls (between 50k and 100k) and lose them when going out to vegas. I have won some and lost some playing online and live poker and I am sure most would agree that there is a big difference between the 2.

I can almost guarantee that he lost all of it plus a little

got $560 on tilt right now, hope I can get it back. Used to keep about 2-3k each on stars and tilt til I got married 2 years ago. If I had that much on there now I'd be freaking out.

Kinda glad they stopped taking echecks on poker stars a month or so ago. I would probably have a hundy or so in there but I didn't feel like paying money to wire money to my account.

Pretty sure they will re-imburse your wire fees. They always did when I would wire money.

Good to know. I hadn't tried. I will keep that in mind if they stay up and running

You are correct. They should always re-imburse fees for wires and Western Union transfers.

Got a text from this guy while he was sitting on the plane ready to depart for London. Said he had just been notified the event had been cancelled due to the this whole thing. He wasn't sure if he will see the $20k buy in that he won or if the event will eventually be rescheduled.
