craigslist question

I put an add on craigslist for some stuff that was used, and the add had two pics. A lady called me and said she wanted it and I asked her when she would like to come look at it. She said she was out of town, but she didn't need to see them because they were exactly what she wanted and her husband would come pick them up. He came out yesterday picked it up and paid me. Today he called me back and said he's not sure that the stuff is what I said it was and that they looked like they were in great shape in the pics. (I'm not sure he ever even saw the pics because until yesterday I had only dealt with her.) He said she will be back in town tomorrow so I told him to call me back after she saw them and they had a chance to talk.

What do you think I owe them? I don't want to screw anyone, but I also feel like they bought them and I should be done with it now.

Their loss, if they already picked it up and didn't inspect it before handing over the money that is their fault. WTF was it anyway.

IF the are in good shape and such as you say then I bet they found something else and are just trying to weasel out of it.

i woulda said the heck with it and tell them to deal with it..........

They probably didn't know what the hell they wanted/needed in the first place. Again they should have figured it out when/before they picked it up.

I agree with the majority here, once you buy something it is yours. If you buy it and it breaks in two pieces, you own both pieces.

Yeah, tough shit for them, you owe them nothing. The unfortunate thing is that they know where you live (assuming that is where he picked them up).

"roses" were currency on Craigslist back in the day when escorts advertsied there. They would use the word "roses" in place of "dollars" in an attempt to skirt the laws of advertising sex for money.

I know it because I once got a quote from a company for some roof trusses, and the salesperson told me they cost "2,000 roses", that day I also got the same explanation I just gave you.
