I don't think that anybody will disagree that what made basketball in the 80s exciting was the amount of superteams.

lol Joel, like you were around in the 80s for the Celtics/lakers battles. STFU. Superteams suck ass, it makes the league lame as hell when only 2 or 3 teams have a legit shot.

With Lebron's "apology" last night, of course, part of today's topic on WKNR was "quitters" and the hosts seem to believe that Paul Pierce quit last night. They said that when it looked like Allen, Rondo & KG were done he just gave up. They said he had that same "look" (disinterested) that Lebron had for 48 minutes in last years Game 5. I didn't watch but did anyone else get this perception?

I cant say, i didndt really pay that much attention to Pierce in particular. It would really shock me if he just gave up though.

My comments on Lebron/Heat...I respect his apolody, though its about time he apologized and I'm over it and I'm tired of everybody talking about it. I still don't like him though.
LOL at the heat acting like they won the championship by beating a literally washed up Celtics team. All of their main guys were injured, they were playing like shit (unforced turnovers)...that Celtics team was know where near as good as they were last year of the first half of this season. Im not going to look it up, but im pretty sure the Celtics weren't much above .500 after the trade. I said I thought the trade would fuck them, and it did.

I think the Bulls match up with them pretty well, im just concerned about their offensive firepower against the Heats very good defense...they have to get past the Hawks first though.

I was going to jump in on this thread, but it looks like all the points have already been made. It is impossible for "collusion" to occur when players are the only parties involved. Lets stop using that word people

Doubt it. I hate the Heat but they win in no more than 6. I think they win in 5.

I hope so. Got a couple of friends who are serious Bulls fans (DRose dick suckers) and I'd love nothing more than to have them sent back to reality.

These guys think they have the best overall team in the NBA because of their regular season record. They think Chicago has a complete team and that they don't rely on Rose too much...

I've tried telling them different, but to no avail...

I don't see why the Bulls couldn't beat the Heat and why they wouldn't be considered to be right on par with the Heat. If you're basing it on how the Playoffs have played out to this point then you haven't watched the Playoffs the last couple of years.

It's going to come down to whether or not the Bulls can contain Joel Anthony because they are not stopping him. The other Match-ups should be interesting.

I was wondering the same thing. I don't think the Bulls have a defender on their roster who can do so. They may have to double team him.
