For Cleveland's other teams Cavs (41 home games), and the Browns (8 home games), those games are sold out. Those same fans are tribe fans. In a poorer city you are going to have to pick and choose your recreation. Until Dolan garners any respect, it will be the same.

Please explain the Cavs attendance prior to LBJ getting drafted. Did those same fans pick and choose not to go to those games because of the economy? Or was it because they were the worst team in the league?

And I really don't give a shit about how many games Cleveland has sold out in a row. I can pull a stat out to "make my argument look better" too.

World Series titles: Pittsburgh 5. Cleveland 2.

Oh yes? stfu

lol you fucking tool.

Cavs sold out all their games too, and had an increasing number of walk up ticker buyers.

You don't give a shit about, because you don't have a comeback for it, because you don't have room to talk shit. What does World Series titles have to do with what we are discussing? LMAO nice fail dipshit. Might as well add these gem comebacks in response (this is alll sarcasm just in case this goes over your head):

Explain their season now. Oh let me guess, we all decided to tell Lebron fuck you, so we all kept going to their games? lol gtfo. I forgot the Bulls sold out all their games before jordan, and the Celtics were selling out their games prior to the big 3 /sarcasm.

My comments was just as relevant as your sell out streak, both in the past and both meaningless at this point in time.

The whole point is....there really is no merit to calling Cleveland the "best fanbase."

Sure they have passionate Browns fans, but they don't travel well. I'm also willing to bet that the Cav numbers will aslo decline significantly, but they might not....depending on the draft and what off season moves are made. And for the Indians....well its pretty obvious. Being in first place can't even fill the seats to a respectable number.

I'm trying to understand your logic. In one post you say the loyal and great Cleveland fans choose to sell out 41 Cavs games because times are tough. In another you say its ok they didn't sell out before LBJ because the Bulls didn't sell out before Jordan.

Cavs numbers might go down, but pittspuke would never do that for a losing team. Lol at your Browns comment, thats a stretch, because you could hardly find an argument against them. Maybe they don't travel well because they don't have band wagon fans across the country. The only teams that ever travel well are the ones that are currently doing well. The Browns have the largest fan club in the nation with the Browns Backers.

How am I spinning your words? Those were your two arguments. I can see how you are confusing yourself, since it doesn't make any sense at all.

So you say the same applies to Gilbert owning the Cavs? He is a good owner which is why attendance is up?

I think part of the reason why attendance continues to stay strong for the Cavs is that Gilbert isn't afraid to spend money and will TRY to win, regardless of cost. Tribe fans are gunshy towards the Dolan's because they are cheap and they make no bones about it.

If you look at their moves (dumping Sabathia, Cliff Lee, Victor Martinez, etc) it almost looks like they are INTENTIONALLY trying to lose. I don't think the fans are rushing to the turnstiles because they still think regardless of what happens, the Dolan's will still be "sellers" instead of "buyers" even if they are in contention.

A stretch? Its pretty much fact. The Browns don't even compare to Pittsburgh in terms of a better fanbase. They don't travel well, because honestly.....who is going to shell out the dough to go to the west coast to see them more than likely get beat.

I also don't notice many Cleveland bars in others cities compared to Pittsburghs. But there are a few here...mostly OSU spots also.

Pittsburgh travels well because it's a piece of shit city filled with people missing a few chromosomes, who wouldn't want to leave?

Surprisingly, Pittsburgh is a very nice city for being in the rust belt.

But keep acting like you've been there. ;)

Pittsburgh has definitely upgraded the city from what I've heard. It was a piece of shit when I visited which was over 20 years ago. Not so much a piece of shit now, just their fans. :D

You do realize most of those fans are bandwagon fans, and won't be fans when the Steelers are doing shitty right? When a team has success they tend to gain bandwagon fans across the country. You actually think all these lakers/cowboys fans in Ohio are actual fans of those teams, and likewise for all those west coast "fans" of midwests teams. LMAO are you really that delusional? You and Non must be talking some good shit. I would expect the same thing from the Browns if they made the Super Bowl, just how it works.

Also you are full of shit about not finding any Browns bars. 1. Why would you look for Browns bars anyway, 2. Go to the Browns backers website, you will find they you can find a Browns Backers group in almost any city and they host their outings at a bar. I lived interned in LA for 6 months, and I found a good amount of Cleveland bars. Nice fail.

I was busy with something more important than accumulating 12,000 posts.

Br already answered your question, but I will answer it for you again since it probably went over your head. Yes the fans partially sold out, because of Gilbert. Gilbert has a passion to bring the city of Cleveland a championship, and the fans obviously share that passion. They respect Gilbert and actually go to the games, because they believe in him and they know he is going to try his hardest to bring a title. It's pretty evident since their attendance was higher than the heat's even though they had the 2nd to wrose record in the league. Same reason why the Dallas Mavs will continue to have good support as long as Mark Cuban is the owner. In contrast Dolan has shown NO passion what so ever to make the tribe better. He gave away 2 cy young pitchers and one of the best catchers in the league. If the Tribe had all 3 players we would be talking about a possible WS run this year. When your owner is taking a shit on your team, why the hell would you support the guy? Florida Marlins are a great example. They won 2 world series and the year after each title attendance dropped dramatically because the owner was a piece of shit and pretty much disbanded their whole team. Make sense now? Probably not, I guess you never claimed you had the sharpest mind on this forum. Do yourself and stick to hugging lebron's nuts and crying when sleeper makes fun of ND.

Also, different topic, but you took a thread that is about Miami fans, and changed the topic into Cleveland Indians fans. lol at you trying to say I spin anything. Congrats on joining the piece of shit hypocrite club with auto.

Edit: This post is capone proof. It is too long for him to read or understand. If he responds, it will be completely irrelevant to what I just said.

Thanks for your answer. Do you know when Gilbert became the majority owner? I will tell you it wasn't when the attendance turned around. The attendance took a huge jump the year after LeBron was drafted and the team was competitive. Under bad ownership as you said, the team started winning more games and fans started attending games. Your theory is a bad one. BANDWAGON.
