That strike 3 pitch to Votto was sick. Had so much bite on it. Votto knew Latos got him.

3rd straight game EV goes 0-2 on the first hitter. The first two times the inning didn't work out too good, and this one also the lead-off hitter gets on!

Freakin Volquez. I don't even know why I bother watching any game he pitches in.

Edinson is killing my fantasy team. If we could eliminate the first, his numbers get much better.

I think the camera being off-set to the right gives a little false indication on TV. Wasn't Votto fooling in the dirt at the plate well after he was called out so he could give the ump a piece of his mind? Gameday pitch location showed the pitch was well out on the inside.

Loaded with 0 out to start the game. What else did we expect?

Camera angle or not, that ball had some great late movement on it to run back over. And yeah Votto was took a second to take a hike back to the dugout but I don't think he was griping with the call too much.

Big DP there. Our defense is sick whenever our pitchers give them a chance to make some plays.

I agree there was great late tailing action - the question is was it enough?

But two runs in this park are bigger than two runs in GABP.

Was it called a strike? Yes. So yes it was enough.

Yeah I think so. Keep in mind that Votto tends to pretty close to that plate when hitting.

Now that pitch to Bruce to K him, I don't know. Looked like it was still inside.

Ramon got unlikely with the ball just staying fair.

I guess it was, factoring in the frailties of the ump. He didn't miss the fair ball call to Hernandez, but he did mis the first and last called strikes to Bruce with the 3rd strike being a clone to Votto's, but he did get the called strike three right to Janish.

Man our defense is slick. Another Janish-BP twin killing and Rolen made a pretty difficult play look easy there to get the last out.

9 batters, 5 K's. That's lousy on the Reds part.

Well I'm calling it a night. Sleep sounds better than watching the Reds get mowed down.
