That Ken Griffey game for SNES was good, but Slugfest for 64 takes the cake

I also played the SNES Tecmo baseball game. It was essentially a lesser version of Griffey, but it at least was licensed by MLB so you wouldn't have to guess who each player was. The controls for it were more intuitive. With Griffey (at least the second of the two on the SNES), I always struggled with baserunning and with any pitcher who specialized in non-breaking stuff.

As much as I loved the Tribe in the 90s, my favorite memory (not counting playoff runs) has to be the 7-8-9 inning comeback versus the Mariners. That was amazing, and here is the Hamilton Audio for it. Watch it before opening day every year!

The baserunning was all about timing. I could usually get a steal a game with the fastest player on my team, and with fastball pitchers, there was a certain place on the rubber where, if you moved the pitcher there on a 2-strike count, you could get a called strike three every time.

Since we are talking about Nintendo games....did anyone ever play Bo Jackson Baseball? It was hilarious because Bo homered in nearly every at bat.

I remember watching a replay of that game on ESPN Classic (didn't get to stay up for it) and holding my breath in the 9th when Cordero was down to the last strike, even though I knew we came back and won. One of my favorite Indians memories.

A couple games that stuck out for me in that 95 season. Spotting David Cone and the Yankees a 8-0 lead....and then winning 9-8. Also....Manny's 2 run dinger off of Eckersley with 2 out in the bottom of the 12th....and win the game by one run. Hammy's call on Manny's "a swing and a drive" was unreal...can still hear it...and still get goose bumps.

I was at that indians/mariners game. I remember my dad wanting to leave and I wanted to stay sooo bad. He reluctantly agreed to stay and told me if they lost I was grounded haha

I remember the Indians/Marniers game. We were packing to leave for vacation the next day, my parents friends were at the game and left. That was one of the best comebacks I've witnessed in any sport.

I remember not long after Belle flexed his muscle, Omar hit a HR and went into the dugout and jokingly did the same thing, that dude was cut up.

Does anyone remember the back to back to back HRs that the Tribe hit off an Angel closer (can't think of his name) in the 9th inning? The last HR gave them the lead. I think it was Thome, Belle, Ramirez but I'm not sure. And it wasn't off Lee Smith.
