Volquez continues to throw too many pitches and can't locate any one pitch consistently. 4-0 already

Come on Edinson...how long are we gonna keep saying "he'll pick it up, he's got the best stuff on the team" before we say he just isn't really that good anymore?

EV with a 2011 first inning ERA of 31.5! Both games I believe he was 0-2 on the first hitter.

Sad as it is to say, my Volquez hatefest continues tonight. Dude needs to be sent down as soon as cueto/Bailey gets back so he can get in a rhythm.

He's just not very good anymore. I would say it's because he's off the juice, but he's still hitting 95.

Does he have options left?

The first real pressure on the offense since opening day, when they floundered with RISP until the 9th.

I don't know, I'm just sick of him, Haha. I think hell do better with a few more outings, and well see if he calms down now, I'm just not a fan.

I think BP should have tried for 3rd. It wouldn't have been the first or 3rd out in the off chance they would have got him. Would have scored on Votto's grounder up the middle to at least get one out of the inning.

Found a stream online, but it's a little delayed.

BP stroked that ball.

I thought he did go. But I think he'd have been out easily.

Maybe Phillips was conservative due to soreness from his unwarranted belly thud last night!

hindsight is 20/20 mhs...down 4 runs, you don't take risks on the base paths.

I've never believed in EV's ability to be a #1 starter, but I hope he proves me wrong at some point.

I said that when it happened, and I was hit w/ a bunch of "#1 starters are better than great outfielders" posts.
