Surely you can't be serious. Why would they give them gold colored football pants that the players would then give to their mothers (I believe that is a common occurrence). I think anyone remotely knowledgeable knew it was a jewelry type deal.

So she could wash them!! Lol
If they were real football pants my mom would have told me, I earned them and I can wash them.

I think they should just rename them gold charm pendants because that is what they really are.

BTW, IF anyone thinks things like this are NOT a common occurrance around EVERY college program, your kidding yourself. No, that doesn't make it right or whatever. But again, I have NO doubt current players, former players are selling quite a bit of their stuff on a regular basis. As I said, back in the 80's, I bought a pair of once used turf shoes and a watch that a player had gotten fro playing in a bowl game. I had/have no idea if it was a violation back then, or not. But don't kid yourself, this stuff goes on often. Yes, its a rule. A fairly stupid one at that IMO as it is THEIR'S to do what they want. But rules are rules, no question.

A guy I work with has a daughter who is dating an offensive lineman who plays at Pitt. He bought the watch from him that they got for going to the Compass Bowl or whatever the fuck they played in. Obviously the kid is a piece of shit.
