Eh while it wouldn't completely shock me, I'm pretty confident that his health problems were pretty severe. I think he'll return to coaching, but on his family's terms in terms of his health.

Meyer left just in time. He left the program in shambles, just like Pete Carroll did with USC. Just be patient, it'll happen, guaranteed.

Meyer comes on board after Pryor is gone. Why would he want to deal with the 5 game suspension of Pryor and then be forced to play him in week 6 so he can finish his last year as a Buckeye.

Craziest post yet! Tress is here to stay folks...accept it and move on. Will there be additional NCAA sanctions? Sure, most likely. But they won't be anything severe enough to get him fired or retired.

...unless that persistent little rumor about Pryor being OSU's Tommy Chong prove to be true.

I thought that one was already shot down. From a USA Today article:
Smith said he was relying on the U.S. Attorney's investigation, which said the players did not acquire drugs for the memorabilia.

I haven't heard anything about drugs since this all surfaced, other than Rife.

However, I did hear drugs were involved from someone close to the investigation originally. Also heard about the cars.

Honest question....didn't Meyer have trouble keeping his players out of trouble at Florida? I forget the exact number of arrests in Gainesville but does OSU really want to go that route after this?

I love Tress and always will, however it's time for him to go. They're gonna let Fickell have this year on an "interim" basis, then to bring in either Urban or my darkhorse...Pat Fitzgerald.

I will say this: If Tressel leaves none of his coaches will be retained. The new coach will clean house and start fresh with his people. It's the only way you can wash away the stain.

I will have a hard time remaining a Buckeye fan if they arbitrarily hand the keys to Fickell when Tress finally wanders off into the sunset. If he wants the job, he needs to go prove he is capable in the MAC or Big East first
