Just looking for advice, or home remedys.

Today during the middle of playing, the System shut down and went to a flashing red light. Unplugged it, turned it off, and then turned it back on. It first went to green like it would be starting, then flashed a yellow light, and then back to flashing red.

Any of you guys had this, and what did you do to fix it?

PS3 was bought back in '07 so Warranty is of course void.

Time to get a new PS3....I also believe you can send it to Sony and they will fix it for $150.

I read a couple of PS3 message boards.....doesnt look good.

its the yellow light of death. get a new one or pay someone for a repair. i found a guy on craigslist who fixed mine for 60 bucks. He'll also buy your broken one if you want to get rid of it.

I have a feeling mine is going to die soon. It runs EXTREMELY hot after like 30 minutes and the fan is 100x louder than the old 360's even.
