Last Pirates game I went to...it was "bring your dog to the game" night. I was like WTF?! The promotions they do to get people in the stadium are ridiculous.

Interestingly, this promotion is not exclusive to the Pirates. If I recall, the Reds offered this promotion last year. I did a quick google search and found it is actually quite common in MLB. My guess is the dog lover lobby pushed for it.

Yeah. I remember seeing a couple Reds games last year with the dogs at the park.
