Is there a good online place to get heartworm preventative and flea treatment for pets?

I have used Petmeds before but you need a prescription from your vet. I use amazon.com for flea/tick/heartworm stuff. No vet needed.

lots

Steer away from anywhere that does not require a prescription. Also, make sure the flea and tick meds are sourced from the U.S. not Canada or Australia. Other than that, we like KV Vet for online ordering

LJ if I already know the prescription you wouldn't order from somewhere cheaper that doesn't require it?

What is the best flea/tick treatment for dogs and cats? (ticks were really bad in my area last year)

Just whatever works best for your pet. Frontline and all the big name brands are pretty good. Stay away from Hartz and the cheap brans

We use Frontline on our dogs and have never had fleas. It's expensive but worth it.

Only problem with ordering from there is that they send you a catalog every 3 weeks or so.

J_Crazy I know LJ doesn't recommend it but I bought all my flea meds for my dog off amazon as well when he was alive and never had any problems, saved me a ton!! I will continue to buy for the cat off there.

Luckily my vet will price match.

So all we have to do is print off a "receipt" of what were going to purchase and they will match it. Recently got a year supply of Interceptor(50-100lb) for only $60. It's normally like $9 a pill.

I think Wellness Venison and Potato

BTW, don't believe any Blue Buffalo hype, reps have admitted that they have very bad quality control and don't match nutrition facts at all.
