I was gonna buy it but decided that it was a bit chilly this AM at just lit 40 bucks to keep myself warm.
I think I made the right decision...it was well worth it

The game site I write for did get a promo copy for review. I thought about asking for it, since I haven't played a racing game since Gran Turismo 3, but decided against it. The fun I had with GT3 was learning and mastering* all the different road courses and with a NASCAR game, I wouldn't have much of that.
*With a couple of them, "mastering" is a very generous way of putting it. Like the one street course in that game that tended to only get used during advanced racing series. Guh...

Of this game? None up so far. I don't know if the owner got anyone willing to review it, as sports games tend to not get people fired up there like other kinds do.

Bought it yesterday, graphics are amazing, racing is eh. All of the tracks/cars look beautiful, way better than the EA games. The driving is too arcade like for me; in a racing game I expect the car to be a challenge to drive; understeer, oversteer and the such. If you just want to pick up and go race then it is a great game. But if you're looking for a hardcore sim game, it may not be your cup of tea. I'm prolly going to trade it in or sell it and get F1 2010. Anyone near Athens wanna buy it ?

NASCAR 2011 is everywhere with both bad and good reviews so was reluctant. Thanks for being honest but nah! I'm not playing this game.

I can't wait for the first patch to come out. the game is borderline unplayable online. the career/single player modes go from laughably easy (rookie) to hard (racer) to OMFG this game is impossible (veteran, or something like that).
like slide said, the visuals are amazing, the sound is alright, the gameplay is a trainwreck. supposedly there is a huge patch coming to fix a lot of the glaring issues. but still haven't seen that. once i download it and play some more i'll give you a review because if it fixes half of the problems this game is totally worth it.

laughably easy: i can lap the field in about 40 laps at daytona.
hard: i do good to finish in the top 5
OMFG this game is impossible: i lose the draft in turn 2 and put around in last place hoping a wreck takes out half the field.
