Agree, and from what I hear, a class act. Just a bad night, and unfortunately for him, it came in a 1 and done tournament to end his college career. Certainly has been fun to watch over the last few years.ironman02;723657 wrote:I do feel bad for Nolan Smith. That kid is a hell of a player. Great career.

I knew Duke was overrated all year and when they finally played a good team it showed.

Doesn't diminish it, but he could have done it in a Final Four instead of getting his dick handed to him by THE CATSgeorgemc80;723658 wrote:Like that somehow diminishes the record?

WAIT!!! Wisconsin's on an epic 10 point run, tripling their point production in the entire second half before that!Laley23;723661 wrote:Now do I watch the postgame or the Butler-Wisconsin game...Ill go postgame.

At least Singler will make a few appearances in this year's One Shining Moment montage. Too bad for him and Duke there will be a couple Arizona nutsacks on his chin.

lol. I wasn't sure what comment of his that was referring to, but it pretty accurately sums up my feelings just about every time he talks.

Should have stuck with my original prediction of Arizona winning the Region. Oh well, 13 right and 2 wrong in that bracket ain't bad.

Comment about Arizona's fans not being in their seats. They probably left to go celebrate knowing they will get to watch their team again Saturday night. Duke's fans were staying to get one final look at this year's team.

The return of Irving hurt him, in my opinion. He had gotten used to playing WITH the ball, rather than off the ball. When he was forced to return to last year's role, he just didn't have the same feel for the game. He carried Duke on his back this season, and leaves with a national championship. I'm sure he feels awful right now, but he certainly has a lot to be proud of.Red_Skin_Pride;723664 wrote:Agree, and from what I hear, a class act. Unfortunately, college basketball isn't as predictable as gym class dodgeball... I give credit for how close he came to the 20-point margin, though. Just the wrong team...

I do believe that Duke is now 0-5 all-time out west in the NCAA tournament.
Crazy.

I had Duke losing in the sweet 16......to Texas. Fuck me! I have thought Duke was living off their reputation all year. Duke has been a bit overrated all year long, Zona proved it tonight. Now 'Zona loses to UConn in the Elite 8. Book it!

I know myself and many others on here questioned bringing back Irving for the tourney, but the Duke fans said they were so good that it would only make them better, well, we saw last night that they weren't better for it.

My guess is he'll wait until he sees what happens in the OSU game to make his return. Hoping for the opportunity to come back talking about OSU losing rather than eating crow for his statements in this thread.
