Well considering that no name Harrellson looked like Kevin Love last night against us, Buford shot 2-18, the vast amounts of lay ups, put backs, and bunnies that were missed and UK having 10+ blocks, it's kind of amazing that we only lost by 2 with a shot to win it at the end.

Nice use of sarcasm.

Harrellson attributed his success a lot from guarding Patrick Patterson, DeMarcus Cousins and Enes Kanter. Even if it isn't seen on the court, you can't discount what it meant to play against those guys every day (and get whipped more often than not). It makes facing guys like Sullinger and others when it matters a little less daunting.

32% - that is why the Buckeyes lost. Has nothing to do with the coach and everything to do with Kentucky's D and the fact that shots were not falling.

Every championship team has 1 game in the tourney they don't shoot well...look at KU and their 59 points against Davidson when they won the title...KU averaged 80 points a game in the NCAA tourney, yet won that game with only 59 points...because of defense, and adjustments.

Point is, that's when you need your coach to make adjustments to the defensive style of game so they can win with their defense, and not continually allowing a player to shoot when he's 2/17.

And where did Kellog go? Didnt hear one word from him after Knight made his shot. If OSU made the buzzer beater he would of been going crazy on air. Must of gotten a punch in the gut.

It took Roy Williams 16 years to get his first and Self 15 years. Matta just finished his 11th year. Unfair comparison with those 2.

Your comparing playing Davidson to playing Kentucky in the tourney?

Thad Matta didnt lose the game. William Buford was 2-17. This just happens from time to time. I think they got beat by the better team last night. I love how all the loyal Bucks fans so quickly wanna pick someone to throw under the bus.

Would they have been Big Ten Champs without Buford? Grow up OSU fans and accept defeat. Some nights the opposition can play better than us.

Just my opinion...I don't think Matta will win a title.

That's exactly why Matta lost the game. Stop playing him, or at the very least tell him to stop shooting after he's 1 for 10 or so. Put Dallas in to help Sullinger down low with Harrellson.

Matta is only 43 and has already made it to the NC game once. Quite the bold prediction.

Yeah when you have Oden, Conley, Cook, etc. you can ride their talent to the title game. Then lose by double digits to UF.

I realize it's a bold prediction...just my opinion that Matta doesn't feel to me like a national championship coach. I like the guy, I think he's a good coach and a great guy...just call it a hunch I guess.

Buford shot 44% from 3's this year and 46% overall. Every shooter in the NBA to High School and every Coach from the NBA to High School will always say to shooters to keep shooting. Now shot selection is another issue but Buford took pretty good shots yesterday...just didn't hit them like usual does.

And I understand that, but when there's other more viable options, you have to tell him to give up the rock. Especially in a do-or-die situation.

Serious question, but what coaches that haven't won a championship so far do you feel are championship caliber coaches?

You ignoramus, ALL coaches MUST have talent to "ride".

For Matta to win a National Title he must out recruit Calipari, Donavon and Self. Calhoun, Krzyzewski and Williams will be out of coaching before Matta retires.
