I do less worrying because I can check it after each round and usually have 3 or 4 in the 28 that are winning the pool
Would be more stressful if I have only 1, and then had to have that interfere with my rooting interests. Like this year, conventional wisdom is to pick OSU over UK, but my heart pulls me towards UK. I have UK advancing to the Elite 8 in 7 of 28 brackets, so if they were to somehow pull the upset, I'd win in brackets AND rooting interests.

I fill one out, sometimes 2. I don't enter bracket pools anymore because, like ytown said, I was getting too pissed at games where I would have otherwise been happy at the result.
I do other games for money like the pick your players game...that way I can be excited about upsets

I can see your strategy as being successful at alleviating frustration, no question. I'm happier now that I don't bother though

Certainly. I do gamble on sports pretty much nightly though, so I'd probably have to employ your strategy of just stopping all together to really enjoy the sport. It would either be hedge my bets with a ton of bets or don't bet at all. I couldn't put everything on the line for just a single game or pool, too much heartache, especially if it conflicts directly with my rooting interests.

I'm going to try to get blackout drunk when I fill out brackets from now on so that I won't remember who I picked. Then I won't look at them again until at least after the first weekend is over. I hate being torn between pulling for an underdog and hoping to win $. Probably won't work, but it's worth a shot.
I'm not all that surprised VCU is winning. Never would guess they would be up double-digits, but I think the CAA was a pretty undervalued conference as a whole.

Purdue trying to press, VCU just torching it. Cut it to 11 then VCU right back to 20. Rodriguez for VCU is a baller.

Why is Purdue still running a full court press? VCU is breaking it so easily and they are scoring practically uncontested baskets. Purdue just looks slow and unable to adjust on defense. It's like they're playing a throw away game in the middle of the season, not in the third round of the NCAA tournament.

that picture of Robbie Hummel was hard to see. I feel so bad for that kid. I hope he goes on and wins 10 rings in the NBA. He got a raw deal for the last two years.

^^^
I was looking at that earlier. VCU has already taken down the PAC10, Big East, and Big 10. It looks like they could get the ACC in the next round if Florida St. upsets ND. In the regional final, it would appear that they would get the Big 12 in Kansas. Assuming they pull that upset, it would be entirely plausible that they could get the SEC with Florida in the Final Four. That would be Mid-Major Armageddon if VCU could take down a team from every BCS conference. I am rooting for it, because that side of my bracket looks terrible.
