Morris should have pulled up instead of shooting the runner. Otherwise, can't complain about a 2 point loss against Duke and their officials.

Yeah I'm not sure I understand the Big Ten love after all of the hate for the SEC chants.

Who's bragging about losing?

CCrunner said that the Big Ten was shit, and the 5th place team just took Dook to the wire. Just calling him out.

Oh okay if it's against CCrunner in anyway, I'm all for it.

Pretend like I just said "+1" instead

Not the most pretty game, but survive and figure it out. Game wasn't any more sketchy than the UNC one.

Escaped is the best way to describe that game for Duke. But as friendfromlowry perfectly said, in this tournament you just have to survive and figure it out. Every game in the NCAAs is terrifying.

Michigan is a difficult draw in a tournament scenario. Little prep for a good 1-3-1 zone and an offense that has given duke fits. Thankful to leave Charlotte with wins.

Also FYI forget the idea of home court advantage for duke in Carolina anymore. The Michigan sections upper and lower were full and 10-12k tarheel fans made this an all out road win. Players were relieved it was over.

That's why K gets to pissed when Duke gets paired in North Carolina with the Tar Heels. I'm sure Duke fans root against the Heels too, but clearly the state of North Carolina has more UNC fans.

There was never really any doubt in my mind that Duke was going to win this game. Great effort by Michigan, especially coming back from 15 down in the second half, but I knew that somehow Duke would pull out the victory. They're just not gonna lose, and it seriously pisses me off more than anything.

Do you mean survive and advance like Ohio State has in the tourney?

Ohio State played George Mason. (Without their best player, I might add.) Duke beat Hampton in the "second round" (actually the first round) by a score of 87 to 45.

With all due respect to George Mason, George Mason is George Mason. Michigan, on the other hand, is Michigan, the same team that took Ohio State to the wire twice this season (including a four-point loss in Columbus), took top-ranked Kansas to overtime and just pulverized Tennessee by 30.

Big difference. And a terrible comparison on your part.

Michigan should compete for the Big 10 crown w/ OSU and Wisky next year. That's if Morris doesn't make the ill advised decision to leave.

Huh?

OSU won by 4 @ Ann Arbor
9 @ home
and were up 17 in the BTT when they pulled the starters

That's what I got mixed up. OSU won by four in Ann Arbor, not Columbus. I misremembered. Anyway, other than that, there's no "huh." Michigan took Ohio State to the wire twice (when you're talking about a 33-2 team, keeping the score within single digits is a very close game and the game in Columbus was never a run-away).

I really don't like comparing teams by a common opponent. I know it is always done, but some teams just matchup better.

There's a difference in conference games too, any conference, not just the Big Ten.

9 points and a lead from 13:12 left in the 2nd half isn't "to the wire"

Again, you try to hate without knowing the facts

And you would have thought from your pretending to know what you are talking about, Duke would have won by 30.
