5-0 All four quarterbacks will play in the first game and someone will seperate themselves, I expect 2 or 3 to play the second and 1 or 2 to play against Miami. I expect Rod Smith up the middle, Berry off right tackle and Hall off left tackle all day long. None of those teams are going to stop it either.

I like the idea of the RB's as I hope that OSU has someone better than Herron, but since Hall and Berry didn't get more carries last year I question them.
I hope OSU has decided on a QB prior to game 1.

No one sees Miller red shirting? Seems like throwing a true freshmen in this situation is asking a lot.

From all accounts he is further along than Pryor was as a freshman. And Pryor started.

It would seem like he would benefit greatly by just letting this stormy season pass by and start the following season as "The Man" without all the distractions next season will bring. Almost all QB's should red shirt IMHO.

Not till half way through the season though right? I thought Beckman started out the year for you.

Pryor started in the 4th or 5th game of the season. So pretty close to halfway, but just a bit before.

It was a few games in, but it was early on that Pryor was getting a few series here and there.

It doesn't matter, he doesn't want to redshirt and there is plenty of opportunity for him. You don't do that to 5* kids who have those two things going for them or you won't get those kids in the future. He may no be the eventual winner of the QB battle but he will get a shot and/or be utilized in other ways.

5-0
Ohio State still has alot more talent than any of their first 5 opponents. I understand that they are missing out on some very talented players at the skill positions but I expect the defense to play lights out.

That's a good point and I could easily see them going 5-0 as well. They are still going to have more talent than anyone else, but it will be interesting to see how smoothly the offense runs without several key guys.
The fact that Miller is already in school and learning the offense makes me have much more confidence in him.

5-0 at best, 4-1 at worst. I'm not trying to be cocky, but I just think OSU still has more talent than their first 5 opponents, even without the 5 amigos.
I see A LOT of pounding the rock on offense, shortening the game, and making the opposition beat our defense. This is why I'm pulling for Guiton or Miller to be the starter, just because they are athletic and can run as well. Our defense should still be very good, despite losing Cam, B-Rolle, Hines, Homan, and Chekwa. We have a lot of young guys who have all played quite a bit despite not starting.
I really don't see any of those 5 teams scoring more than 17 points against us, especially if OSU runs the ball effectively like they should and controls the clock. The X-factor is our special teams....if kick coverage shits the bed like they tend to do a lot, we could be in some trouble.
I don't think the score or stat sheet will be impressive, especially vs Miami, Colorado, and Michigan State, but I think we'll manage to get the W's

5-0.
Substitute head coach refuses to settle for Tresselball in 2nd half. Buckeyes roll to five victories and Mark May shits himself on air.

Like most everyone else, I see 5-0 w/ alot of defense and a strong running game mixed in w/ some Stoneburner/Fragel.
Can you imagine how pissed off people around the country will be if the Bucks make a run to a National Championship this year?? It would be glorious!!

I can't think of any other year where I wanted to win the National Title so bad. It'd be amazing if they did, and then during the trophy presentation Tressel tells everyone outside of Buckeye Nation to suck on his nuts.

They'll probably go undefeated this season, but NCAA sanctions and a ban on post-season play will negate the fantastic record. FML

More so than usual. Pryor averaged like 25 pass attempts a game last year. I don't see whoever playing QB getting nearly that many pass attempts. 15 at most, IMO. OSU has a lot of RB's and they'll all get a nice amount of work in those first 5 games.

It's been said before. I'd be stunned if the NCAA keeps a top money making school out of a bowl game.

I don't think this is the case. I refer to USC as the example. How does OSU going to a bowl make the NCAA more money than another BCS school going to a bowl?

I don't think it makes the NCAA more money, but I am not 100% certain. However, the location in which the bowl is held makes a lot more money since Buckeye nation travels better than most schools. But as to your question, I really don't know if the NCAA makes money off apparel and merchandise or anything else.
