Im graduating soon so I will become real familiar with this process. It's kind of scary yet exciting because I have a job now that im very comfortable at but it just doesn't give me the paycheck I need.

...Interviews are scary, but if you have the qualities the particular company is looking for, then it will come across to the person interviewing you. The toughest interviews I had were REAL tough. One started at 8AM and I met with a different department head every hour until 4pm and didn't get the job. The 2nd toughest lasted 4-1/2hrs with 4 different people & that is the job I've had for the past 7 years.

I will start a new job on the 31st and I interviewed with 10 different people before getting the job. Luckily, all the interviews came off rather laid back except for the last one when the top manager grilled me.

I've never found interviews to be particularly scary or anything. I think that is how I've been able to get every job I've interviewed for without having any real or applicable skills.

That's a crime. Does that mean you're going criminally insane?

The Wife had an Interview on Monday. Got a call today and they want to do her second interview on Tuesday. She's been on a severance package since late October and it runs out at the end of the month. It's been like a six month vacation for her.

...scary might have been a stretch but I was just rolling with the other guys post. If a person hasn't had a lot of interview experience then it can be pretty nerve racking.

The interview went very well I think. Met with the VP of Operations and also the department head. It took the better part of an hour and a half to talk with both. I guess I was a bit anxious more than scared or nervous. Everything they talked about concerning the job are things I have done before or are things I know I can do and I explained how my experience relates to what they need done.

Overall, I guess I would say that I may be over qualified at some parts of the job and/or experienced with things the job doesn't entirely entail. I know I can do everything the job is requiring. They will be getting back with me next week.
