I don't deny the talent of these contestants. I just don't really dig that many of them. My early thoughts are that the last 3 contestants will be Pia, Casey, and James but I am sure America will change that and leave someone less deserving.

....bottom three

Haley, Karen and Naima....

with Karen going home. She sang very well trying to earn a save.....but the judges passed...not unanimously.

J-Lo was almost in tears when they didn't save her. But she wasn't that great to begin with. Next week Naima will be packing her bags as well.

What? I was replying to a statement that the best 3 arent always the last 3. Because America will put someone in there that doesnt belong. I dont think Scotty is a top 3 talent. IMO

Scotty is talented for sure, and gets a lot of the Midwestern votes along with the girl who is predominantly a country singer. I think he sticks around until late in the competition but I don't think he wins it all.

Didn't America pick the top 10 then the judges picked the other 3? The voting has been spot on, just look at the bottom 3 last night.

I would have been fine with any of the bottom 3 going home. Naima would have been my pick to leave though.

^^^I think the Naima and Haley will be the next two anyway. Both will need to pull out something fantastic to save their spot. At this point, most viewers/voters have already made up their minds and have a couple of favorites. Neither one of those two has really had an great performance, and that is so critical to have when you have an off nite somewhere in the competition. I think haley is the next to go, because it seems she doesn't have a real core of support.

As Dave said...the voting has been 'spot on'. I really think that Simon Cowell skewed the voting with his comments. This year's judges are giving constructive, but positively supportive critiques which keeps thing a little more in line with what is going on stage.

IIRC, America started picking at 24 in prior seasons. This year, America did not get to start voting until after a Top 12 was picked for them.

That's actually wrong.

America voted for the top 24. The top 5 boys/girls went on then the judges picked 3 wildcard contestants after they performed again.

Who is the Adell singer the judges always talk about when critiquing the females? They have mentioned her quite a bit lately and I don't know who she is.
