In case you don't to watch the play in games tonight, National Geographic Channel has a series called "Hard Time" It is pretty much like Lockup on MSNBC. Well, tonight at 10:00pm, they are examining the Southern Ohio Correctional Facility in Lucasville. It was site of the 1993 riot and is where Ohio executes its prisoners.

My dad also worked there for over 20 years, and I grew up hearing many stories from the inside. So, it should be interesting to watch.

Scioto County should in general be part of the program. One of my best friends (from San Francisco) is dating a girl that went to Greenup Co. HS and her family lives in the Burg now....he calls me every time they visit and drive down from Columbus on Rt. 23 wondering how in the hell this is part of the U.S.

They done several episodes at RCI in Chillicothe. It's a pretty good show.

Haha, Yeah, it is awful. But, their are pockets of civilization, but not many.

Everytime I watch shows involving prison (big fan of lock up) I say to myself everytime that is not a place I want to be!!

Father and Grandfather both worked there doing the riots. Some crazy stories for sure.

Yeah, they just aired footage of the riots. I still remember that as a kid, scared me to death and my mom was freaked out the whole time. During the whole riot we had no contact with my dad, but we knew he wasn't in L block. He still won't talk about too much.
