Including this gem:
I just split up with my girlfriend, but like the Japanese say, 'They'll be another one floating by any minute now

COLUMBUS, Ga. -- Aflac has fired Gilbert Gottfried, the comedian who is the voice of the insurer's quacking duck in the U.S.

Gottfried, who has voiced the duck in numerous commercials since 2000, posted a string of mocking jokes about the earthquake and tsunami in Japan on Twitter over the weekend.

"I just split up with my girlfriend, but like the Japanese say, 'They'll be another one floating by any minute now," he tweeted Saturday.

Aflac Inc., which does 75 percent of its business in Japan, says the jokes do not represent the feelings of the company. Chief Marketing Officer Michael Zuna said "there is no place for anything but compassion and concern during these difficult times."

The insurer says it will start a casting search for a replacement.

Gottfried is not the voice of the duck in Japan.

Usually I'm all for jokes and such. But when you're a spokesperson for a company you have to use your damn head.

Over half of the company's revenue comes from Japan, probably not the smartest idea by Gilbert.

I smiled, but he still deserved to be fired. This is nothing but idiotic on his part.

I'm not surprised by this in the least.

This is the same guy who during the Hugh Hefner Roast just after 9/11 (like a week or so after the attacks), Gottfried opened his set by saying something like, "I almost didn't make it today, I had a connecting flight at the World Trade Center."

He did follow that up/bail himself out by going into the most insane telling of "The Aristocrats" ever.

Very true. That made him a roast legend, and basically revitalized his comedy career.

I follow him on Twitter. They are off color, but some of them are kind of funny.

He deleted his tweets...but my favorite was:
Japan is so advanced that they don't go to the beach, the beach comes to them.

If you listen to his uncensored routines, or on Howard Stern, the dude is hilarious. One of the funniest comedians out there. The PG stuff he does is not funny, I'll agree with that.
