Due to not enough blacks receiving passing test scores the DOJ has ordered them to lower the qualifying scores. You can now fail the test and still become a member of the DPD. This is just another in the growing steps of the dumbing down of our society, do you really want officers making life or death situations who cannot pass a civil service test? I would assume a great percentage of those who fail the test and still move on would be phased out at some point.

This happens all over the country, all in the name of "equality". It's a joke, one test for everyone if you can't pass it you don't get the job.

Also, shouldn't this piss of the AA community? Everyone wants equality yet the DOJ, Obama's DOJ, just said black people aren't smart enough to pass this test.

This is truly laughable. It comes down to the liberal myth of "Equal Opportunity" when they truly want "Equal Outcome". It is a freaking joke, especially in a profession that is supposed to save lives, yet we let (by force) morons into it. Absurd.

Edit to add: Why the hell does the DOJ have any control over a state issue?

How can that be? I thought only unions were the source of bad or unqualified workers.

I'm still willing to be these cops are smarter than most of the criminals they're chasing. It's not like they have to go bust mastermind Lex Luthor.

Yes, but why are we trying to narrow the gap?

Somewhere in southern California, a certain OPer's head is exploding at this news. ;)
