According to the Columbus Dispatch, a member of the Hilliard Davidson football team was stuck and killed by a train this afternoon. The student had not played often due to a foot injury. He was apparently walking down the center of the track East of the high school with headphones on and did not hear the train.

My sympathy to his family and friends. This is just heart breaking.

Wow..that is absolutely horrible. May he RIP. The Wildcats will be playing with heavy hearts tomorrow.

Sad news. Prayers to the family.

I used to work for CSX as an engineer. I have witnessed tragedy like this before. It leaves a sick feeling in my stomach and I don't even do it anymore. People please stress to all your families and friends how dangerous it is to be walking railroad tracks. PLEASE.

Good luck to the boys playing tomorrow. I hope they have the heart to do it after such a tragedy.

R.I.P. Art Lane. Go Cats the team will be wearing stickers on their helmets tonight to honor Art AND the boy from Dublin Scioto who was killed in a car crash last Sat. night.

When I read stories like this it feels like a kick in the chest. My sincerest prayers to his family and friends. I'll be cheering for Hilliard tonite.

I have lost a family member. It is heartbreaking and devastating. My prayers and deepest sympathy go out to the family. I truly am so sorry for your loss. The emptiness never really goes away. But time does have a way of healing all.

Just a couple weeks ago it was the two students from Scioto, and then the other day the wacked out dad killed his two teenage daughters, and now this.

Very sad stuff.

Sad news from Beast4414 on that other forum. Formerly known as Grunt, his fiancee lost her dad to a car accident Friday morning. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.

Just read a news report that he was using the tracks as a shortcut from Davidson to our public library. Watching the game right now. Let's go Wildcats!

The football player/cheerleader from Dublin Scioto died one week ago this morning. There is nothing sadder than to see something like this happen.
