D6 should be close if DSJ trend continues. Last two games have been OT.

D6 I think should be very good. D4 im kinda skeptical about even though I believe in Chagrin Falls. D1 could go either way.

The CW Ursuline game was entertaining....two fun offenses to watch. The game seemed closer than the score. Maybe it's because Coldwater's been known to come from behind, but I thought it was exciting until the final YU score. Never felt like CW was out of the game....

The only game my buddies and I stayed til the 4th quarter (even then we left with around 7 minutes to go) was the Ursuline/Coldwater game. We left in the third quarter of the other two games. These were the worst three title games, in one day, that I can ever remember attending.

You wait, tomorrow's games will be barn burners for sure. :P

Two turnovers, which resulted in Ursuline TDs, and two failed attempts to punch it in on 4th and goal didn't help Coldwater at all (as well as their penchant for running the QB draw which didn't fool Ursuline after awhile). However, their defense's inability to stop Ursuline's running game just killed them. Coldwater, for whatever reason, did not adjust at halftime.

Yeah, what was up with running the qb again and again....He's not fast enough for that...they should've given it their back if they wanted to run.

Those three games yesterday made me so glad I did not waste my time making the long drive to watch them.

I am happy that the fans of these schools got a chance to see their teams play and hope that a lot of them made the drive.

I thought you were gonna ask if the people who bring fold up chairs into the bleachers, that they don't pack the rear pocket full with junk and not recline backwards.

Some guy who was sitting in front of us, did this all day.. you had NO leg room.. ridiculous!

Coldwater Ursuline was for a while.

But then the refs stopped being so one sided.

After that, it was over.

Sorry Cav fans, but you got some awful calls.

Also, how do you throw the ball almost 60 times and never get a holding call????

Amazing coaching i guess, huh?

I expect the D1 game to be close. Maybe the D6 game.

Are we going to see one game where the contest is undecided before half way through the 3rd qtr. this year?? Every single game is a complete blowout. Can anybody ever remember this scenario in past championship weekends in Ohio State High School Championship games?

These things seem to run in cycles. It isnt the system causing blowouts!! There are some really good teams this year. Remember, Mooney started this decade 10-20 the first 3 years.

over 60% of the titles won are by private schools and they are out number by the public school by a large amount.

The numbers speak for themself.

I have know dog in the fight but as a fan I can see things are not even, not close to being even.

Were YOU complaining when Newark Catholic was having their great run of successful seasons?

The inadvertent whistle cost CW 20 yards and there was an obvious holding that Ursuline got away with where the Ursuline back actually spun the blitzer around 180 degrees by grabbing him....obvious and no call. Then the guy who blew the inadvertent whistle looked like a deer in the headlights on the pass intrf. on the deep ball and the SJ had to throw the flag....

Well...the last two games were obviously nail bitters looking at the scores. They were the only two games I did not get a chance to watch go figure.

Another season gone...wow!!!!! Looking forward to next season as usual.

Coldwater's QB was outstanding. He really was. It was the running game versus the passing game for this one and the running game won the battle. Simple. Coldwater's Defense was not as strong as they were a couple of years ago. Some bad calls....yes indeed. Refs were not on top of their game. But hats off to the Irish. Jones and Teague were tough as nails, and there was some hard hitting by those DB's out there as well. The Irish had Coldwater's number that day. I am sure both teams with their amount of success will be back in the hunt again in the near future.

The Last two games defintley made up for the weekend. CMHS, look for the STO replays. IMO, the D6 game moreso then D1, but two very dramatic games.

And was I foolish to think this thread could go without the public/parocial debate?
