I see Ashton, Karen, and Paul all packing their bags tonight. Thing is I really liked Ashton early on but as of late she has completly fizzled out.

Scotty is very good. Even if he doesn't win American Idol someone in Nashville will be calling him. He will be a very good country singer. He did very good last night singing The River by Garth Brooks!!

Well I guess I like it because I am a huge Country Music guy. My fiancé and I both like Josh Turner and that is who his voice reminds you of and Turner voice does not match his look.

I picked Pia several weeks ago. Also, for those thinking the show would tank after Simon? Ratings are up over 3 million viewers per week from last year!!

I am no expert but I think the ratings has to do with the talent. I have only watched since I think Sparks girl won it..maybe a year before that..do not rmember..but from to top to bottom it is the best i have ever seen.
I find myself not really caring about the judges and what they say now....but when simon was there I was always interested in what they said. Maybe now people are focuising more on the music and nothing else

Dont know if anyone mentioned it but last night was not live. It was recorded. ARticle I read it was recorded so the judges can work out their roles and i guess there was sound issues last week.

The sound was terrible last week!! Tyler hasn't been very good the last couple shows. Or is he really not that good 'live' in the role of a judge? UP until recently they can pick out what to show but at some point that stops. Kinda like with taht dyke last season....in the recorded eps she sounded ok but when the show came live she stumbled and really showed how little she knew and contributed.

If thats the case I should move to Nashville now. "The River" is a terribly easy song to sing and he did "Okay" -- He is a dime a dozen in nashville with no stage presence.

I like Scott. I don't think he is amazing but I would rather hear him than Jacob Lusk. I admit the guy has power but there is something about the way he sings that I just don't care for.

I would love to hear you sing The River if it is terribly easy. Scotty has been very consistent. He had one performance he didn't perform at his best but other then that he has been a top 4 singer every time.
