interesting vantage points. can't imagine what it must've been like to live in that city on that day. sad, sad day.

they didn't really get the planes crashing, disappointed in that because I had never seen that vantage point before

I had no appreciation (or at least a recollection) of the amount of dust and smoke. It basically blanketed all of the financial district and completely ensconced 50-story buildings.

So, so sad. I watched that and then decided to check out a couple other videos because it had been so long since I'd seen any. Came across this one:

Wow, that was so sad, not even sure what to say.

I remember when I was in high school, my friends and I went atop the World Trade Center. I am not scared of heights, but being on that roof -- with the buildings swaying a bit, and only a thin guard rail and about 20-25 feet between you and the edge -- was downright petrifying. I can't imagine what those pour souls went through in (obviously) much, much worse conditions. Rest in Peace ... wow.
