I agree. But there's several things you are missing. I think the NCAA would overlook the first emails in April due to the pending case. However, it's clear in the email dated June 1st that the attorney says the federal case is done. At that point, Tressel SHOULD have reported the violations. He did not.
December rolls around, and it comes out that the NCAA now knows about the violations. They investigate and ask OSU and Tressel what they know. Tressel says that he did not know anything until December when it all came to light. Which is an outright lie to the NCAA. THAT is where he is going to have problems. He had six whole months where the case was over and coming forward would not jeopardize anything (according to the emails), and he sat on it.
That's going to be a problem when the NCAA comes knocking again.
