That's awesome. Tucker Pappas is an arrogant, pompous coach who wants to whine every year about getting no respect at that tournament (did so when it was at Smithville too), but in the end he can't get his team through. Congrats on #501 to Coach Alberts. It would be great to see him get to coach a team in Columbus after a long and successful coaching run!

That was a great game to watch! Both teams had runs, including Orrville's blisteringly hot start and Manchester's charge in the 3rd quarter to take the lead. It was exciting, though, and great to see both teams show up with great fan support!

Next game Wednesday at 8:00 at Cuyahoga Falls vs (probably) Ursuline. The other 2 teams are Gilmour and Elyria Catholic. That is 3 of the same teams that were at the volleyball regional.

It would be nice to beat Elyria Catholic in the regional finals again after the football team took care of them 3 months ago. Great job Riders!

Yes that Manchester coach is a real piece of work. After they introduced our girls at the end of the game but before we got the team trophy, him and the rest of the team walked of the court and almost right thru our girls standing there. Total lack of disrespect.

Yep a total lack of respect, he probably needs another "s" added to the end of his last name.

Regional at Cuyahoga Falls, Wednesday night March 9

6:15
Elyria Cath 23-1 ( #7 in state )
Gilmour Academy 22-2 ( #11 in state)

8:00
Ursuline 16-7
Orrville 20-4

in a side note Garaway with former Orrville Coach Bardall won their district in a real exciting game 16 to 10 , LOL , had to be really a snoozer! Pitman would have loved to do stats on this one.

What do ya know.....3 private schools and 1 public lol seems like that is the norm these days.

On a side note....if Orrville can get to state they could possibly play Oak Hill which my brother (2002 Orrville grad) is a teacher there...He's hoping for that scenario to happen.

Pappus is the most ignorant, arrogant, disrespected man I know - and that is why his team did not deserve the win. Anyone read The Daily Record - he is a down right fool. Love the title of the article. WTG Christy!

For those that don't get the DR: "The better team didn't win," said Manchester coach Tucker Pappas, whose team finishes the year 22-2. "We know it, they know it, everybody in this building knows it.

What a knucklehead, have a little class. The only thing he said right in the DR article is "maybe it's the coach" referring to himself as to why they can't win a district title.

Agreed, Pappas is a knuckle-head I cannot believe you would say that as a coach, you got beat, sure you are mad, but you just don't say that, especially when it is not even true. Go Riders!

For the 10th season, Manchester gets NO district title, pretty astounding for the best team in the district to be knocked off 10 years in a row at Smithville and the last 5 years at Triway, must be the coaching!

According to the NE district program #32 is the tallest girl at 6' even, while #20 wasn't on the list.

The comments on The Daily Record's website are unreal. Pappas has no clue. Dude needs to look in the mirror.
