I do not tend to let them get in the way.

I'm no fan of private schools. Two of the players at Ursuline played jr high at my local school and we would have really liked to have have had both of them with us this year. If we did, we may have been playing this afternoon as well. BUT, there are a lot of private schools in Ohio. How many have been to the finals in the last ten years? Ursuline and Mooney have been there three times each in the the last four years. They have built a program that attracts good players. "If you build it, they will come." I do thnk they have an advantage in how they build their team, but they get it done every year. And keep in mind, they do get beat by public schools. Both have lost in the title game to a couple pretty good ones.sebastian wrote: I won't debate that, but you have to agree that they shouldn't be vying for D4/D5 titles. They are two steps ahead of any of those teams there and probably even D3. D2 would be hard-pressed to compete with them. If they are so good, which they are, don't get me wrong, wouldn't they want to be playing against the top big schools in Ohio and not the po-dunk small town farm villages?
You wanna rethink that now? Seems Pitt is running over, around and through Cinci's porous defense!!SUPER787 wrote:Hmmmm, Mention that to coach Kelly of the Cincinnati Bearcats.september63 wrote: IF you cant stop the run, you arent going to win.

Congrats to the Irish on their victory and State Championship. Jones was a beast and his running style is very reminiscent of M Clarrett prior to his transgressions.mlisi39 wrote: Congrats to the irish.
great to see that some one sided officiating didn't slow you down.
Ursuline 55
officials 13
Coldwater 12
That sounds about right.
In 2007, Wenning was the back up QB as a Soph to the Junior Klenke. When a Coldwater Receiver went down to injury, they used Wenning on two plays which lead to Coldwater Points.Strapping Young Lad wrote: Was he the QB when CW beat Mooney in '07???
So letting a kid score a TD in a State Championship game is un-Christiano.a.b. wrote: I too,was appalled by Ursuline's last score---if that's the "parochial Christian" thing to do,I'm proud to be a Catholic from the public system----I guess we'll just take the higher ground, turn the other cheek and move on.
