...very nice gesture by Outback to support our troops!

God Bless our young men and women that are protecting us and keep them all safe so they can return home to their loved ones.

Outback, at least over the last 5 or 10 years, have been very supportive of the troops.

I'm happy that Outback is doing something great, but don't be hoodwinked by their true intentions, as most of you probably will, or probably already are.

It's clear you've been hoodwinked. There's a reason Outback does this, you are exhibit A.

Of course they are still making a profit. We had this silly argument with you last year. THE point is, Outback didnt have to do this.
If it were all about making money why isnt every major food chain doing it?

Do you also think the bell ringers for the Salvation Army have ulterior motives too?

Enlighten me since I eat there about 2 times a year? I know they are making more money from this than they donate. How is that hoodwinking? To me they don't have to give anything, to give something is ok by me! You never cease to amaze me!

Whatever makes you feel good about yourself. It's like the people who buy pink ribbons for breast cancer and thinking they're making a difference.

Well I said enlighten me as to why, you didn't not surprised just trolling as usual. As for the ribbons or anything else where a proceed of the purchase is donated to said cause, how can that be bad?

If Outback really cared about the troops, they would just donate the money silently, without all the fanfare. Don't be stupid.

And how do you know they haven't done anything behind the scenes?? This also let's the consumer know that some of that sale will go to that cause. People like to know where their money goes when spending it. I think it is fair for a company to say from this point to this point X amount of dollars spent will be donated to whatever. Now the consumer that has a problem with that charity, donation, etc...can stay away!

Or maybe by adverstising it they can make MORE money to send to the troops............

Of course they make money on those items...just a little bit less than normal but if they get more people in because of it they end up ahaed.

And why the hell would you want to send MORE money to the troops? They are paid a fair market wage, but let's not get into that.

I pay taxes(and when you have the money I have, I pay a lot). I vote. And I don't care about the troops anymore than I care about my local doctor, engineer, or gas station attendant.
