But I don't view either of these teams as a top 5 team after watching this game. And its not the first time I have seen these teams play.

Disagree totally

Agree totally. I suppose it will be an upset in the respect that a lower seed will knock off SDSU. However, in reality, not really an upset. I mean, who of significance have they beaten?

I admit today they looked bad, they were not clicking at all. BYU was hitting all their shots, and they match up well with SD St. I have watched SD St. numerous times this year when they were hitting their shots, and they were very very good. Some of you are judging too much on one game. You need to watch a little more Mountain West basketball, too have a better view. BYU was lights out today, like someone else said, if they play like that they will be a big factor in the NCAA tourney.

this was the second time i've seen them play. the other game i watched they lost to byu, again.

Well, a quick look at the season schedule let's me know why you are so impressed with SDSU. Their schedule is lacking and they will look good against inferior opponents. BYU is the only team they have played that is currently ranked and they lost both games by 13.

Here are the single digit wins against SDSU's national powerhouses.....
Gonzaga by 3
Wisky Green Bay by 7
Cal Poly by 6
San Fran by 6
IUPUI by 2
Utah by 9
UNLV by 6 twice
Colorado St by 2
TCU by 7
New Mexico by 6

The Aztecs aren't a bad basketball team by any stretch, just nowhere near being a top 10 team. Sorry.

SDSU as a 5 makes total sense to me after watching them today and depending on the 12 they get could easily be a first round exit.

Sorry, but I still think their talent level is as good as anyone. If they did not play anyone good, their RPI would not be that high.

Make sdsu shoot jumpers and you will win. They are really athletic. But if you make them take contested jumpers you will beat them.

If byu is hot, they can win some NCAA games. I'd let ferdette get all he can and guard the other guys.

What happens if San Diego St. is hitting outside jumpers, and is hot?

If they are hitting outside shots then they can win any game, but you can say that about almost anyone. And SDSU's shooters suck, so you can't count on them getting hot for more than a 1 game stretch.

Yes their shooters sucked today, but I have watched them before in different games when they were hitting shots from all over.

Many players have been compared to Jimmer.....I'll add one he reminds me up with his pulling up from anywhere range.......Chris Jackson....Late 80's LSU...then Mahmoud Abdul Rauf in the NBA.....had Torrets and his ways were completely zany....but going for 50 was NEVER out of the question in college.

I also like the Bo Kimble comparison.
