Seinfeld is my #1. Another show I really ejoyed was Frasier. That show had such good dialogue and the actors played off one another really well.

And John Astin (sp), from the Addams Family is his dad.

It was just bad. It was almost too silly, like Grey's Anatomy meets Mad TV or something.

It wasn't anything specific because I liked some of the actors
Main Character was in Garden State, which I liked
The Black Guy was in Clueless and Remember the Titans

The one Red headed Dr. (man) was on Mad TV.

It was just something about the show that I didn't like.

Scrubs is probably my favorite show of all time. Except the last season on ABC. That shit made me angry.

Scrubs is probably my favorite show of all time too. Luckily I went to night shift when the last season of Scrubs aired so I missed it all. My brother and I know practically every line to every episode, and yet we still watch every time it comes on.

How I Met Your Mother is a great great show. Neil Patrick Harris' Barney Stinson is one of the best characters of all time.

#1 is easily Seinfeld if we are talking network tv. Curb Your Enthusiasm is equally as great and proves that Larry David was the genius driving force behing Seinfeld.

That's a really tough calll. To some extent, I think Curb is what Seinfeld could have been on cable, but at the same time part of what made Seinfeld so great was the very crafty way they skirted the sensors and went after being politically incorrect while still being politically "correct".

I couldn't choose between the two. I've seen maybe only about half of the Curb episodes, and HBO has such irregular runs and schedules that it sometimes makes it hard to stay into a show. Ultimately I think I have to give the edge to Seinfeld because you had 4 major characters, along with several major role players and a slew of minor players, with their quirks and shortcomings. Curb is mostly just Larry David, and while great it's somewhat limited in perspective and how it can approach topics.

It's weird that I like/love a lot of the same as people who rave about Arrested Development, but I just never found it all that funny. It had its moments, but I never really got into it. If I were to peg the reason behind the relatively short run and lack of success, I'd say just too many way over-the-top ridiculous characters. I think it's an acting style that, while it has its share of fans, is not a formula for huge popularity - for me, it really detracts from the humor because it just ruins the suspension of disbelief. And I'd site 3rd Rock and Office among similar examples, although both clearly more successful and not as good as AD.
