I am considering attending my first MLS game. Anyone been to a game at Columbus Crew Stadium? How is the experience? I would like to see Henry take on the Crew.

It's fun. Good sight lines. Good concessions. Easy parking.

The home opener would be a perfect first game for you, the stadium will definently be rocking. Any of you Black and Gold supporters are more then welcome to join me and the boys for our tailgate at the northwest corner of the paved lot, well have kegs flowin and burgers on the grill.

Ordering my tickets pretty soon. Is there any section that would be considered bad seating?

Anyone know if tickets are still $10 a pop? I used to get them for that price at the student union with a $5 food voucher. Too bad it wasn't valid for beers...which are like $9. Pregaming is a must.

Last game I went to was insane. Crew was up 2-0 to Chicago, with McBride. We left in the 86th min. Chicago scores once in the 88th and once in stoppage for a draw.

Rough way to start the season for the lads, but will say that D.C has a decent team put together this year. As a U.S soccer fan it was it amazing to see Charlie Davies score two goals and make an official mark in his miraculous return. As for the Crew they simply looked sloopy and it seems like it might be a long year for the black and gold. Hopefully things will be a little easier next weekend against New York and their weakend squad.

Unfortunately something came up, and I will not be able to attend this game. So I have spare tickets. Section 107 row 24. $33 bucks each. If anyone is interested, pm me. I realize it's short notice.

I was at the game. #10 doesn't deserve to start. He missed several crossing passes near the goal, and absolutely whiffed. RBNY had very little chance of doing anything, only one decent shot at the end, otherwise it was all Crew but couldn't get one through. If we still had GBS, we'd have won 3-0.

Such a shame. Oh well, got a point, but that still leaves us at the back of the pack in the east.

Yes Mendoza doesn't even deserve start, while it's quite sad to say hes our designated player and highest earner.

2-0 winners over Dallas FC. Hesmer has been great again this season. Is he a top 3 goalie in the MLS and do you think he gets his first national team cap this year?

Absolutely not. I've never been that high on Hesmer as I dont think hes even top 5 in the mls. Hes the type of goalie that makes normal saves look magnificent and never makes the really tough ones.

With that said, I was much happier with the second half last night. Looks like we may have found a gem in Miranda...Rusmir is pretty solid too. and Cunningham + Renteria is our best forward combo

Went to my first MLS/Crew game last night. Pretty solid experience. Should have gotten drunk earlier, because it was freezing, and I was in no mood to drink a cold beer while at that game. I had fun, but I am under the impression it is more fun during the summer. Is the attendance normally that bad?

haha I will give him credit for keeping our steak against Toronto alive.

I wonder what our alltime record is against them. 4-0-7?

It gets a little better the warmer it gets. They announced 14500 last night (probably closer to 12000 were there though), and I figure they'll get up to the 16000 mark around may.

How much does the stadium hold? About 22k? Were they selling out during the championship season?

Yup I went last night too for the first time in a long time. We got seats for 10 bucks for college night. It was fun, good to see them win but I was a little disappointed by the lack of attendance too. I think a lot of people didn't show because there was no way there was 14K people there.
