Pretty much spot on...we're not 6-13 because seniors aren't playing and we're not 6-13 because the sophomore are playing.

If anyone thinks there's a silver bullet NOT being used by coach that is holding this team back from greatness....out of spite, favoritism or any other -ism you want to think of...then they're showing either a bias, or a lack of understanding.

Sometimes it just isn't there.

I haven't read all the posts but as a former coach i can tell you that coaches always play the best players that give them the best chance to win. In the immortal words of herman edwards "you play to win the game". coaches want to win they never play players who dont allow them to do that. Now if you have a sophomore and a senior who are very close in ability and i will even grant you that the senior might be a hair better than the sophmore, you may choose to play the sophmore especially if you are going to have a losing season anyway. this gives you the best chance to win the next season. but no coach coaches to lose.

The seniors that are being referred to had all preseason to impress the coaches. At the scrimages there were only 6 players till football was over. None of the seniors mentioned played football. they also had the first 3 or 4 games till the football players were ready to play.

One senior who played football was Groves and he was hurt early in the season.

Max, Graber, Groves played football.

Seiler, Mitchell, McCord, Wasson did not.

When I initially read this, I laughed at its ridiculousness. But I wasn't going to say anything... Now, with what Orrville has done in the tournament, I can openly laugh. Hahahaha!
