I believe you left out the part where he took 26 shots. I know he was trying to match the record of MVP's(half of them have been in LA or his home state),but was he trying to break the record of most FG's attempted(27) too?Skyhook79;685544 wrote:29 pts, 12 rebs, 10* assists, 0 steals, 4 To's in a loss.

I'll take the latter 10 times out of 10 and so would you if you were not biased against Kobe.
Why does the 10 assists have an asterisk?
Both incredible games, but I'll take LeBron--not surprising to most of you. But even Kobe said after the game, when he gets 14 boards he was lucky. He was stealing boards from people, lol. He definitely inflated his stat sheet with some cheap stats--but it's the All Star game, who cares. They were both fun to watch. Kobe deserved the MVP for the West's win, but it would have been LeBron's if not for the Boston Celtics--let's be real, they sucked ass.
LeBron
29 (10/18, 9/10), 12 boards, 10 assists.
Boston
28 (11/23, 3/4), 12 boards, 14 assists.
The West dominated every time the "Big 4" came in, it was painful to watch. They play great team ball, but they can't play the pick up, lazy All Star game style. Howard and Rose sucked too.

So what you are saying is...LeBron lost to the Celtics again?

I think he is saying he can't wait for the epic collapse of the Celtics but he doesn't want it to happen when they are playing the Heat, but would love for the Heat to play the Celtics.wildcats20;685666 wrote:So what you are saying is...LeBron lost to the Celtics again?

It's pathetic that you don't have some new material by now. I mean seriously, I expect better from you--though I'm not sure why.

"monster" lol
Kobe's other dunks were better.
The only better rally effort I have seen that was better than what LeBron did was done by Allen Iverson some years back.
Durant was the clutch player for the West.

He looked him right in the eye before he dunked on him. Lebron had the perfect angle and he still couldn't stop it. If the roles were reversed people would have been all over it.

LOL...you're pathetic.
It wasn't a monster dunk, he clearly didn't dunk in his face.
In fact when it happened I said, "props to Kobe, that's exactly how you don't become a victim of the chase down". He's not an idiot, gotta throw that quick little dunk down otherwise that's off the backboard--fortunately for LeBron there are only a handful of players who have an awareness high enough to not be victimized by it.
Kobe learned from this one, don't play around or you're screwed:

Can't wait for you to try to tell everyone that was a foul.

No way in hell would I be on here posting that if the roles were reversed....knowing you and others would be on here with an easy argument of why I was wrong.
How did he look LeBron in the eye.....was Kobe looking straight ahead or did he swivel his head so it was facing slightly backward?
When your wife gets a facial does she have someone rub stuff on the back of her head?

Yeah, that's half the battle against the chase down block. Like I said, fortunately for LeBron only a handful of players in the league have enough awareness to NOT become a victim of it. Kobe is clearly one of them, he's one of the smartest players in the league. I gave him props, he did exactly what you have to do to not get swatted from behind. LeBron isn't getting a chase down on anyone when they still have both hands on the ball while it's going through the rim. Props to LeBron for making the effort in a game like this, props to Kobe for knowing how to not be made a fool of. Props to BOTH of these guys because they made an otherwise boring All Star game decent to watch because of their competitiveness. You could see what separates these two from the pack last night, no one else cared. Durant and Amare were the only other two that looked like they cared to even be there. LeBron and Kobe were definitely the only two that cared about winning last night and they both put on a great show.

LOL come on guys.
I'm a huge Kobe fan, but 9 times out of 10 LeBron is swatting that into the crowd.
5 years ago, Kobe woulda thrown down something impressive on James, but not anymore.

smh, are we seriously having a kobe vs lebron debate on a board where the majority doesnt even give a shit about either anymore? Both had great games, lebron's wasnt enough and kobe's team won. kobe = mvp.

I guess the fix from the West team was in for Kobe to get MVP.
Ric Bucher has removed a tweet saying that Blake Griffin told him that Kobe was looking at All-Star game record books before the game.
Amare on Kobe:
http://www.nba.com/2011/news/features/fran_blinebury/02/21/allstar.dwyane.wade.injury/Wade shook his head marveling at Kobe Bryant's MVP effort on Sunday night.
"Kobe and his teammates looked for him," he said. "They wanted him to get the MVP. He came out very aggressive. That's as aggressive as I've seen anyone play in an All-Star Game. He had almost 40 points. I wish the East would have won and my teammate with a triple-double might have stole it. But he deserved it.
"It was like he was playing with the L.A. Lakers tonight. And he got whistles like he was playing for the L.A. Lakers. Kobe was going for MVP tonight. It was that obvious. I think my three-year-old son knew it."
