Hasn't changed in that respect, just doesn't have the mod powers to merge every thread remotely associated into the one he started like over there.

Ugh, isn't he the one that got me demoted twice, because he kept merging the shit outta threads???BRF;684009 wrote:Ha ha! You are right, Big Dawg!
Speaking of old posters with a bazillion posts, how about Lightinthetunnel? Isn't he the one that was always going on and on about an abused kid? And then there's good old Chesapeake.
I'm one of the few that apparently never had a reason to hate that guy. He and I always got along.4cards;684022 wrote:^^^^^^^^

But I don't really "miss" people on the Internet.

It should be fairly simple to figure out his name over here, if you look at some of the game threads from CFB or HSFB.

A yearly subscription at the other site gets you a year's worth of ESPN the Mag? I think the old site is as worthless as ESPN the Mag, but that's actually not a bad deal.

A yearly subscription here and a 12 pack of beer is cheaper. Better deal.

I love how some of the guys over there would drool over a few of the girls who were just average or not even that. Or some of the creepier ones whod say they were like daughters to them because they knew them on the Huddle.

I just went over there for the first time in over a year. I don't think the new logo looks bad, honestly, it has a classic, varsity letter look to it. Nothing wrong with it in my opinion. To me, it is a bit old school, would look good on a t-shirt or banner, and also is attractive on a website -- that's basically what I look for in a logo (not necessarily "old school" all the time, but it can have its advantages).
I do miss JJ here and there. It was a great place for the WHOLE state to connect with Ohio sports. It was great for their "non-sports" talk too. There were so many good discussions over there. I didn't post that often, I enjoyed reading a lot of it. Most of the topics stayed true to the topic for the most part too. Now, we don't have a forum that covers ALL of Ohio. Now, there are all these other forums that are sub-par and lower traffic. I am not in Ohio (as most everyone knows on here) and JJ was a great way to keep up with all the Ohio high school sports action. I could keep up with the state football stuff, state basketball, wrestling, and soccer. Now, there's really no "great" way to get updates on all those in one location. I was fortunate enough to talk to my mom and dad yesterday who directed me to a news website who broadcasted the sectional wrestling tournament my cousin was wrestling in. Normally, they wouldn't know...and also, I could find out on JJ that it was being webcasted OR someone gave updates regularly.
Too bad it went downhill. Sucks.

Shelbucks was mentioned on another thread. It brought back memories.........funny ones. My last remembrances were of him and Zwick getting into it on Brown's in-game threads............priceless.
On another note, I miss "integrity". Always had good rapport with him.
