Anything to do there in early March?

Any suggestions? Just looking to get away for a couple nights.

I highly recommend it for a weekend trip. I did it a couple years ago and it was really fun and relaxing. Everything is nearby, so you don't need to drive and you can find fairly inexpensive hotels just nearby. I would say it's not worth getting a hotel right on the falls because they are very expensive.

They have fallsview rooms for ~$150 a night plus breakfast and a $40 restaurant voucher right now.

I've never stayed in Niagara Falls, but there should be plenty to do. Remember that it is typically colder and wetter up there than it is in Ohio so Maid of the Mist and so one may not be running yet.

I'd like to go back again. I haven't been there since I was 5.

Good place to take the wife for a weekend. Just gotta get back east first.

...it sucks that you need a passport to cross over into Canada to do some things like ride the Maid of the Mist, see the Horseshow Falls up close or even eat dinner......................fucking homeland security act.

It is soo worth it once you cross that border and see how much cleaner and nicer everything is

Maid of the Mist is the same trip from the American side and cheaper, and shorter lines

Maid of the Mist doesn't run till late April or Early May...depends on when the ice melts on Lake Erie. Can still go behind the falls though

I've been to Niagara Falls at least ten times -- not real recently though. Use to have a lot of family up there in the Buffalo/Ontario area. The last time I was there (probably four years ago) we rode a rapids boat down the Niagara River...this was a few miles from the Falls, obviously, but the ride was sweet. It's probably only open in the Summer.
Clifton Hill is the name of the street on the Canadian side right next to the Falls -- real big tourist area.

I really love that Northeastern New York area. I'm finally going back this July.

i remember going there when I was probably 9-10. It was awesome. We stayed at a hotel called Michael's Inn. It was on the Canadian side. We had a perfect view of the falls from our balcony (both falls). Also, there was a sweet go-kart track right around there that was like 2.5 km long. I remember is that there were a bunch of jews there as a church group, and they were assholes (actually ran an attendant over with the go kart)

...prolly couldn't see the attendant when your use to driving those big Jew Canoes

My inlaws said the weather in early march isn't very good at all and there wouldn't be much to do besides eat and gamble on the Canadian side and go to the Italian Village on the American side.
