Yes, and they did what they should do. Something that OSU only did in one of those games...

I know we arent comparing the two, but OSU would be the team to compare Texas too, so I brought them up.

Im well aware the competition isnt that great. But you know as well as anyone, stringing together this many dominant performances in a row is difficult and very impressive, no matter who they play.

Its not my fault that you know nothing about college basketball and thought that the Big XII has divisions.

Did someone really suggest the Big XII has divisions? Yes, they have a set of teams that constitutes the Cowboys and a set that constitutes the Indians. Lol.

Did I say they had divisions in basketball? No. I was referring to the schools that make up the Big 12 south in football. You know, a sport that your loser ass college doesn't play. The point remains, the Big 12 is a joke in basketball outside of Kansas and Texas. Why is everyone praising Texas to the high heavens for blowing out teams that suck?

Because many teams play 5-10 games in a row against not great competition and do not blow them out like UT is doing. And they also don't have a win in their over the #1 ranked team in the country, at their place.

Not having a football team really affects how well my loser ass college does in basketball apparently. Oh wait, it doesn't. That would be another topic that you don't know anything about.

And we are praising Texas for winning games because clearly we have a greater capacity for intelligence and realize that how Texas is playing is pretty damn good.

Neither does Texas.

Kansas was ranked #2 at the time.

Using past rankings is stupid. I hate doing it. I would much prefer using current rankings when saying who you have beaten and lost too.

It is a much better indication of what your team has done.

I agree with this. But then again, Kansas was #1 for what, 4 hours?

But I do agree. Especially when a certain team(Dook) beats teams that are highly ranked(K State and Sparty) early on, but then those teams turn out to be bubble teams.

Does the rpi use current or at the time rankings? I never thought about it until now for whatever reason lol

I believe at the time.

Actually, when you see something like "wins vs top 50" or something like that, it means wins vs RPI top 50.

I thought at the time too, but I wasn't certain. I would think they would use updated rankings for tourney selections though, not many would be affected but it would help decide a bubble team or two I would think.

I'm pretty sure they use current RPI rankings when they are discussing the tourney eligible teams and such.

A least they should. Using past rankings for anything having to do with the future is just dumb.
