I think that sometime this week, I'm going to make my once a decade attempt to get through "2001: A Space Odyssey" since it's available on Instant viewing, I previously failed in '99 & '04...
I don't understand the obsession with Space Odyssey either. I made it through about 45 minutes before I ran out of patience. Nothing happened. I wanted to like it too

Just got Netflix so I decided to bring this back up. Been watching Sons of Anarchy again, checked out Arrested Development (hilarious), Brothers (I liked it), and then Food, Inc (crazy if most of it is true, great documentary). I have already seen Restrepo and the Wild Whites of West Virginia (as an aside, I tweeted to my cousin he needed to check it out, and now Mamie White is following me...AWESOME!). What other good movies on the instant list?

For real, though. It's way better than the preview.

MY one friend has been telling me I need to watch this movie on NetFlix now for over a month. What is so awesome about this movie? I've don't remember hearing squat about it.

Finally got the streaming Netflix set up this weekend and watched Shutter Island. Thought it was pretty good overall, though not sure if I like/understand the ending. Still, good movie for a rainy Saturday night.

On Friday we watched our from the mail selection, City of God, now that was an amazing movie.

What I gathered is that this time he was actually "cured", but would have rather died than keep on living. He gave the look when he said the famous line "Which would be worse - to live as a monster, or to die as a good man?" I think that should he would rather die a good man, even though he knew he was not a doctor.

Anyone with any good Horror suggestions? They have a lot of movies that I've never heard of and most of them don't have very high ratings. Anyone take a chance and like any of them?

tk, depends on what you want in horror. Do you want slice & dice or creepy supernatural?

Trick 'r Treat is supposed to be pretty good -- I have it in my queue but haven't gotten around to watching it yet...

I was bored one day and watched the 1st one (Dragon Tattoo) and absolutely loved it. I even kind of liked the fact that they had subtitles. I liked it so much that I watched the sequels (Played With Fire and Kicked the Hornets Nest) over the next 2 days. The first one was my favorite one of the 3. #2 was the worst for me. That's not saying a lot though because I really liked all 3 of them.

I saw that they were going to bring them out in English, but I really think that it'd take away from the movies.

It's a movie by Stanley Kubrick made back in the 70s. It's a little peculiar but pretty good.

These two plus the worlds worst horror movie "Thankskilling" are must see.
