And we'll do our best, as well! We have to get past the winner of this Wellington/Norwayne game. Both could cause problems for us, but we're playing pretty well right now. I'll be an exciting semifinal round!

We did something tonight that I (nor many others I spoke to after the game) have never seen. It was basically a triangle-and-2, but the "2" were both face-guarding the same person - McKean - instead of face-guarding 2 different players. We mixed in the box-and-1 a little bit, too, and a few other things, but always made sure we had at least one person face-guarding McKean all game.

Pretty much the same as I thought. You could do the same with a 1-3-1 and if he drove to one side or the other collapse and keep him outside.

Leave it to Snoddy to do what everybody else should have all year. Geiser got called out in the paper for trying it and holding Brennan to 12 under his average. Obviously not a bad idea. Really expected more teams to do that from the start this year.

^^ We did it to Wooster, too, and held LaLonde to 2 points in our win over them. I always wonder why more teams don't try to do it. Is it pride of the coach? The coach's job is to put their team in the best situation to win, and I think that Coach Snoddy does that with us every time we get on the court. One thing's for sure - we won't be able to do it against Wellington. They have a number of kids who can score, demonstrated last night with 5 players in double figures.

Classic Triway ball. Snoddy just might be the best coach in the area. But as Pitman stated, it's a different animal against a team with balance like Wellington.

Good luck to Orrville tonight.

Perhaps another showdown at the COW is looming?

Oh I forgot about that at Timken Gym. Where else would you suggest? I mean last year the Orrville v. Triway game was a sell out. I can't think of another location here locally that could hold that big of a crowd.

Orrville vs Norwayne was moved from Smithville to the Fieldhouse back in the 90's, but those were better teams than what we have now. An afternoon game at Timken gym would depend on the Orrville girls game, if they move on, it would be Sat afternoon at Cuy.Falls.

I think they're going to have to have it at Wooster HS.

I don't think Triway or Orrville fans would care where it was if they both win, play it outside or in a barn.

Let's win tonight first, then talk.
