I have no doubt we'll be focused on stopping Wasson and Winters, or at least slowing them down since it's so hard to "stop" them. If that involves a 2-3 zone or a box-and-1 with someone constantly fronting the big man on the block, I wouldn't be surprised. One thing we need to account for is Wasson stepping out and hitting the 3, which he has done all year and also a few times in the district semifinal against Hillsdale. If we can force their guards to take shots they are uncomfortable taking, we might be in better shape than if we allowed them to get comfortable by getting the ball into Wasson's hands. That's the key, in my opinion. Don't get me wrong, though - even though the key is the post players, both teams' guards still will play an integral part in the game if they want to win. Who can hit the open shots when they have them? Who can take care of the ball? If the game is close late, who can hit the free throws?
In the end, anything can happen! If Orrville or we come out in something that doesn't work, we may see something totally different after halftime. Either way, it's going to be a fun game to watch!
Go Titans!
